'61 Reissue Casino - chrome pickup covers?

Hello,

Metallic covers will change the pups tone, cutting some highs.

If the Casino pups are in the 6-9K range, it´s ok! More than 9K is better to keep the plastic covers. More resistance = darker tone.

Keep your pups and try these:

Try Allparts? http://www.allparts.com/PC-0739-001-P-90-Pickup-Covers-CHROME_p_2436.html Or look around, I found about 10 different places in a quick Google search.

Why change them? If it's just for the look, can you tolerate the change in tone that comes with it?

I want to change them, frankly, because I want to change them. I've googled them and even bought some, but they didn't fit. I guess I should have mentioned that. I was wondering if anyone have any familiarity with this particular swap.

I could tolerate the change... If I couldn't, I'd obviously change them back. It's not my only guitar.

I know it's your guitar - why destroy the value of a limited edition just for a look? Why not buy one with chrome covers to begin with?

How is changing the pickup covers destroying the guitar? The old ones will always nearby if I ever wanted to sell... Which I probably won't. I appreciate your opinions, but I'm moreso looking for an answer to the question, can anyone recommend chrome covers for the specific P90s that come on the 61 reissue casino.

p.s. no holes were drilled or altered in the making of this guitar.
