drathbun
I'm so pleased to see the Cat playing a J200 again. The guitar just seems to be made for him. He mentions that not many people know that he wrote this song and not Rod Stewart. :) FFW to 4:27 for "First Cut" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoPoI1IwcTw&feature=youtu.be
Leonard McCoy
Yep, it's been his predominant guitar back then as well as now. He always looked very comfortable playing it, so it's a great fit for his build, playing, and his music. And sound-wise there's no match for it for a singer/songwriter. He plays with just his fingertips and gets a wonderful sound. So those that say you have to really drive the top of a J200 are mistaken.
JuanCarlosVejar
Doug, He has several 200’s but his main one seems to be a blonde TV: On his 2017 Australian/NZ tour he played a newer J 200 Vintage [ I was able to spot the cooked top at his show in Auckland] In the video for his song Thinking ‘bout You he can be seen with a Montana L 00: He seems to really enjoy Gibsons because he’s played: J 200 w/ Cutaway J 185 J 165 J 185 w/Cutaway J 45 He has a few Gibson Electrics as well .
