  1. Funny thing about majors. Only about 50% of the people who start a major actually see it through to the end. This is particularly true in the engineering disciplines. Your first year will be filled with the core stuff anyway, so you have time. If all you are getting are small school gouge, thats probably what you checked when you took your ACT. You should run down to your local Barnes and Noble and buy one of the dozen or so books of colleges. They break them down by major, size, location etc. Also, look for a book on "Free money". Applying for them are painful, but an extra $2,000 or $3,000 over a four year college program really helps. And you would be amazed at what's available.
  2. Seriously though, my son went to the University of Chicago. Great school, but housing was expensive. I'm guessing you are a Senior this year, you can expect a flood of college literature in the coming months. Keep an open mind on locations, and apply for every scholarship and grant you can find. This is your opportunity to grow. I wish you luck.
  3. Girls...lots and lots of girls. Oh and some homework too. :D/
  4. I'm not sure what you're after in an amp, but the Valvetronics (AD xx VT) come in 15, 30, 50, 100 watt in combo and a 100 watt head. One of the really cool features was you can adjust the output without compromising your settings, and its a tube amp!!! But the AC's are real sound monsters.
  5. Good question, I just PMd Thundergod with a question regarding my new VOX AD30VT. So far, this thing really rocks.
  6. $2400 seams a bit steep for a used Standard (Limited Edition or not). You should check out Guitar Center or Musician Friend on line and compare for yourself, they seem to have the best prices and widest selection. Let us know how you fare.
