  1. The easiest way is the get an m8 bolt, screw it in until it pushes the stud out.
  2. I have a 50's and a 60's Standard now, though about just working on them, but the other option is finding a great R9 and sending it to Historic Makeover.
  3. So I have spent some time with new Gibsons and Epiphones, I have the Epi 50's Standard, Gibson 50's Standard, Epi 59, Gibson 60's Standard, Gibson 61 SG, and a Gibson LP Jr. All are 2021 or 2022 guitars, head to head the 50's Standards are both incredible guitars the Gibson has a little more sparkle to it in the clean tones, but the Epi has the long neck tenon, there are trade offs between them, but there is no doubt that the new Epis are serious contenders and the best bang for the buck.
  4. I've been out testing the Murphy Lab guitars that local dealers have, looking for that one that is "just right" have played some amazing guitars but none have jumped out at me yet. I'm really liking the R0 and R9 light aged versions, but for this $$ it has to be a guitar I cannot live without so the quest continues.
  5. The inspired by line got me interested in Epiphone again, I bought 2 new ones out of curiosity- the 50's Standard and the 59. Both are really good guitars, hold up well against my Gibson guitars. Definitely killing it with the new offerings.
  6. The new Gibson and Epiphone guitars are what brought me here, I have added 6 new guitars this year- 21 Gibson 50's Standard, 22 Gibson 60's Standard, 22 Gibson LP Jr, 22 Gibson 61 SG, and a pair of Epis- the 59 and the 50's Standard. Started playing way back in the 70's my first Gibson was a 76 Deluxe and after that it was all about chasing the Les Paul.
