Good gracious, thats sweet. The back of the head stock has a burst.

I guess the custom label refers to the split parallelograms for fret markers and the factory electronics
The orange label looks like my 2011 45tv. Dots for fret markers no electronics
Thats some tight grained red spruce for the top, mine has some fine looking rose wood also

https://www.facebook.com/bttahern/videos/355555163001995Love me some Mr Strings
Thats my birth year. There was one for sale in my area a few years ago, still kick myself for not going to look at it. Enjoy

Get a humidity sensor, they are inexpensive. See what the levels are, case your good instruments when to high or low.
Break out the nice laminated Epi or other to leave on the stand
Living in Georgia I wouldn't think you would have a problem with low humidity

And is that the double X brace system I've heard mentioned of here?
First time I've seen a photo of one

Strings that is, 12-54 phosphor bronze on a 45TV
Replaced my go to's nickel bronze that I played to death
It's a nice honeymoon
-
I was going to try Sunbeams on my 45TV for a change from the nickel bronze I've been using for awhile, then a sale on the nickels shows up I order 6 sets.
Then this thread, it's back to Sunbeams. I guess it's all about timing

I think 2008 was the start of the TV series, Ren Ferguson was the head of the acoustic division, some fine guitars were made under him.
The rose wood on that bird ie the bridge and fret board, look like real nice wood

The case candy is amazing, Lippman's men shop " Like Hell it's yours PUT IT BACK! "

I wonder how long it will take for this 78 year old guitar to open up.
The case is cool as can be.

Played Gulf Cost Highway, maybe she can feel the love

What a voice, great pipes. This is an example of why singers like a 45

For me there is something special about a Gibson Burst. Go for the 45
-
Now tell us about the new one, doesn't look like a standard 45
-
This is one of those times when I say how in - didn't know about this artist.
Thanks

This will be a good one to follow. You came to the right place, wait until some of the other members have a look.
That looks like a treasure, and it being from your grandmother so sweet

Woke up this morning with this tune in my head. I don't do any tunes with a gospel feel to them.
Have to give this one a try
-
I'll second what Sal said.

Simply one of the best, such a cool tone Ray Wylie gets. Watch the the low E vibrate, Dose he tune down to get that sound?
-
Not about the tuners but in the link that Boyd put up, the pick guard came with the guitar lose not attached. See bottom photo
