  1. I'm not the only person wondering about this. My 2015 gibson les paul classic has the 57 classic at the neck and the super 57 at the bridge just like it says on the gibson site. Another person who just bought one has the same, but all the dealers are advertising the 61 tributes in the 2015 gibson les paul classics. A.M.S., Zzounds, Sweet water all say 61 tributes including news letters from some of these places. I know mine are 57's and I prefer the 57's over the 61's. So my q...

      I'm sorry Scott, I honestly don't know mate. I only buy standards and customs, and even then I usually have my techie replace the pups for others. Gibson has done in the past one of lots for specific shops like sweetwater, musicians friend and such and the guitars are slightly changed so they become collectors items. I remember last year they brought out the Traditional V and I wanted one but couldn't get one because they only gave them to certain shops to sell. Could be the reason.
