I never owned a hot rod.
Or a muscle car.
I think I always knew my limitations.
I'm a good auto mechanic and motorcycle mechanic, but I'm not a tough guy.
I go to bed at nine pm.
I'm up at four am.
And I put sweet-creamy creamers in my coffee instead of drinking it straight black.
I don't chain smoke Salems while cleaning spark plugs with fully leaded gasoline.
You get the picture.
I'm kind of a candy-a$$.
But I admired Jeff Beck.
As I admire you hot rod owners and wrench-turners.

I have always fancied an Epiphone Casino in the natural finish, like John played during the final rooftop concert above Apple Records.
A good friend found one a number of years ago, and bought it from Guitar Bob.
I need to ring him up, and ask him if he still has it.

I'm thankful for my wife, my dogs, and good Gibson forum friends like you!
My brother is coming over later with his wife, and they are bringing a ham, turkey breast, and sweet potato pie.
The Missus and I did all the prep work for sides yesterday, and will be baking the stuffing and cooking up the mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, and fresh green beans.
The succotash is already in the crock pot.
I have some nice Australian white wine chilling in my beer fridge.
Life is good.

But many are available, even on Amazon.
I'll have to think on it.
I don't have a Bigsby on any of them, so maybe a roller nut isn't really going to be a value-added installation.

When I was stationed in Germany, I fell in with some Artillery Lieutenants who were real tight buddies.
They had all been to the Basic Course together, and flight training as well, back at Fort Sill.

I try to buy products made anywhere but China.
Not always successful, but I make my attempts.
My favorite pocket knife was made in Alaska.
My Gibsons were made in Nashville, right up the road from here.
My Strat was made in Corona, California, which is a lot like buying American.
My Tele was made in Ensenada, Mexico, a scant 182 miles by car from Corona, California.
We buy local honey, both to support the local economy, but also for the health benefits.

I think that "go ahead and" is a regional or colloquial thing here in the States.
Just as different people from a variety of locations call their bubbly beverage "pop" versus "soda" versus the all-purpose "coke".
In my own experience, "go ahead and" is used whenever there's an uncertainty at the foundation of the discussion.
Examples:
"Man oh man. I really hate going to the dentist. It's frightful for me. But this molar is really starting to hurt."
"Look, go ahead and go to the dentist. Get it over with, and you'll feel better."
or,
"You know, you are really getting on my nerves. I think I might just kick your @ss."
"Well, go ahead and do it then. Don't talk about it, big boy. Just go ahead and give it your best shot."
even,
"Oh wow, they have pineapple pizza here. I have never tried it. What do you think I should do?"
"I think you should go ahead and get that notion out of your head right now. Pineapple on a pizza is a crime against man and God!"

I had an "on again off again" relationship with Facebook for a long time.
On one hand, there are old friends and even family that I could keep in touch with and share photos with.
Facebook was good for that.
Especially when most people my age use FB, but can't be bothered to send an email, write a letter, or pick up the phone.
On the other hand, there was such a deluge of spam, politics, misinformation, disinformation and complete nonsense that it drove me crazy.
(And it tempted me to post my true feelings about the goings on in and around 38.8899° N, 77.0091° W, which is not a good thing. I don't want the US Secret Service knocking my door down in the middle of the night.)
So I deleted my FB account once and for all last year, and life is much better now.

If you have taken care of the white Epiphone for ten years now, and the thing hasn't been knocked over and had the headstock snapped off, then I would say you already have the skills and the know-how to take good care of your new Gibson Les Paul.
And yes, the white finish turning yellow over the years is normal.
In most circles, it's considered a desirable feature.
Me, I keep all my guitar cases neatly stacked in the music room closet, empty, and all my guitars live on hangers mounted to the wall via two screws each into the studs behind the walls.
Sounds risky and capricious to some, especially those who put their guitars in cases at the end of each playing day, and who would never, ever hang their guitars on the wall hangers featuring the black foam padding.
But two things.
1. If they are hanging there ready to go, I am much more likely to grab them down and play them.
and,
2. I have never once experienced any marks or damage from the black foam padding on the guitar hangers. Ever.Now, I do have certain rules and rituals that are observed around this house to prevent damage to my guitars.
* The guitars are kept tuned up, lightly polished, and dust-free.* When I'm done playing a given guitar, it gets a shot of Finger Ease spray on the strings, and that product is buffed into the strings. This is to avoid salt corrosion, and ensure long string life.
* Immediately after the Finger Ease treatment, the freshly played guitar gets buffed down with a spritz of Turtle Wax Express Shine (liquid carnauba wax). I have used that product on my guitars, cars, and motorcycles, for many, many years.
And they all look splendid.
* I never use the individual guitar stands that merely sit on the floor.
My dogs have free run of the house, including the music room, and I don't want anything getting knocked over or slobbered on.
The wall hangers are the standard in the music room and the home office, and the Hercules 3-guitar hanging stand is the standard on the stage when I'm at a gig.
Anyway.
Congrats on the new Slash Signature.
Looks like a great guitar.
