I also must have been sleeping when this one showed up.  Hey Buddy, how you doing?

Can't complain, bro...been through worse...Rita had back surgery a couple months ago (recovering well), getting pretty involved w/the praise team @ church...how are things your way?

  2. That sounds like way too much $$$ to me...as far as Norlin-era Gibsons, my "First love" was a '77 Dove Custom that I wish I'd never parted with...as for the appeal of birth year guitars, my first father-in-law was wont to say, "A good price is all in how bad you want something"....

I had one of those square-shoulder j45's..I like it, but it wasn't my Dove...sigh...

(I tend to play stuff others have never heard  making it tougher for them to join in)

I feel like I don't any songs that "regular" people know...

I'm meeting w/our church pianist in the morning to go over songs for Sunday...it's a collection of songs from a Nazarene hymnal, totally foreign to me...taking my Martin (D16) 'cause it's the only six-string I've got w/a pickup...the Dove came w/a removed under-saddle pickup...guess it's time to have it put back in...

  4. Got a card from my wife, a FB post from my daughter that kinda teared me up (she doesn't usually get sentimental) and a buncha texts...got to play behind our praise team as they sang "Good Good Father", which was a real treat...treated my wife to lunch @ Bob Evans (as she was strapped for funds)...a pleasant, relaxing day...
