STAR CHILD
I have sitting at home a Di Marzio Super Distortion, and PAF Pro pickup set, and the Slash Alnico Pro II Seymour Duncan Pickup set. I was wondering which pickup set you think would go better in my Les Paul Deluxe? The Slash set is Black and creme, and the Di Marizios are creme. Thanks for your suggestions. kaleb
I'd go with the DiMarzios.
STAR CHILD
I'd go with the DiMarzios. Yeah, I know that's what Ace would do! lol
dbreslauer
I put Dimarzio 36th anniversary PAFs in my mahogany top LP, and love them. The super distortion is much higher output than these or the Duncans would be (which of course may be what you want.) :)
kaleb
The Super Distortion has this mid snarl that is just sweet. Great for soloing, as it doesn't crap out on higher notes like a lot of other pickups do. I'm getting one installed in my SG within the next few weeks. vangoghsear
I've got that combination of DiMarzios, the Super Distortion and PAF, in my Westbury Standard. Great combination that can get you all kinds of tones from snarling to sweet jazzy. I've never used the Duncan Slash set, so I can't compare them, but you won't go wrong with the DiMarzios.
