NHTom
I'm in the market for a les paul. I've been toying with the idea of getting something with P90's, but have never had them before so I'm not sure if I'm ready to take the plunge. I've been considering going with a Les Paul with humbuckers and swapping it to P94's, but was wondering if anyone owns them and can give me some input on how they compare tone wise to soapbar P90's thanks, NHTom
Versatile
IMX there is nothing better than the real thing... There are, IMO enough U Tube clips and The Who evidence to show P90 LP's in full flight... Preferably borrow/hire one out and take it onstage... <_< V
soma89
My friend has a Valensi riviera and the guitar just sings. Very comparable with quality p90`s. Purest would say otherwise but I loved them.
turtle
Get the p90 guitar. You won't be sorry. I love my goldtop with the p90's.
scottffitch
I've had the P94R installed in a few SG's over the years.. It's a fantastic pickup if you're looking for a quick mod into single coil land... that being said, I have to agree with the above comments, there's nothing like the real thing... -scott
