Jumbofingers
I'm wondering if Gibson ever made any J-200s (and SJ-200s...) with a 1&11/16" neck-at-nut width. Anyone know what years of production this might have occurred? All I have found are 1.75" on more recent (infer "affordable" here) models.
Motherofpearl
The nut width on modern ones is 1.725 which is in between 1-11/16 and 1-3/4. In the 50s the nuts were 1-11/16 if that helps
zombywoof
From 1947 to 1965 the standard nut width on Gibsons was 1 11/16".

In the 50s the nuts were 1-11/16 if that helps The SJ-200 Standard is the recent standard 1-23/32", but many 21st Century J-200s have been 1-3/4" (the SJ-200 TV, for instance) and I believe that a few have been 1-11/16" (such as the Pete Townsend). Neck width is definitely one the the variables in limited editions -- recent model slope shoulders have had necks as wide as 1-13/16" and as narrow as 1-5/8". -- Bob R
