Except for my John Lennon 1965 Casino and EJ-160-E and very rare 1981 Yamaha FG-246-SB in the also rare Marine Blue, which I am leaving to my wife all the rest of my gear is going to my nephew.Ever since he was an infant my nephew has been as obsessive about the guitar as I am and I have mentored him from the time he first picked up a guitar and he is now widely respected as one of the better guitarists in the province and is always in demand for studio work and to back up other well known local musicians when they need a backup band for tours.Anyway I can go to my reward without having to worry about the fate of my most beloved possessions and spinning in my grave because some fool put Dimarzio humbuckers in my one-off black Gretsch Tennessean or my rare Hagstrom Corvette....lol.He will no doubt be as protectively obsessive about these guitars, amps and effects as I have always been. I shudder when I think of a beautiful vintage instrument sitting in a virtual guitar mausoleum, mute and unplayed while just being appreciated as a way for some uber-rich speculator to grow his wealth. As others have said before me,guitars are meant to be played and enjoyed-as that was the whole reason of their being made in the first place.I would rather see a guitar passed around and played by hundreds of appreciative guitarists until it literally fell apart than to see it languishing forever silent in a sterile hermetically sealed vault.

I've just returned from Florida. Bought a nice house in a Del Webb Country club south of Ocala. I sat in with a blues band (just for kicks) and the guitar player assures me I can get a lot more money for my vintage equipment down south than I could ever hope to get up here in Pennsylvania. I hope he is right. If so, the '59 Strat, the '69 Tele Thinline and the April ''64 White Bassman are all going on the block.
