capmaster Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 It's quite simple - guitars are good; keyboards are evil. I don't think it's in the instruments but in the people playing them. Most keyboard players I know had piano lessons for long years as I had, too. They were never tought to play in an ensemble which often led to a lack of timing. Some expected to play the whole gang after them instead of themselves being tight with the drums. They felt scared in case you recommended them to practice using a metronome, taking it for a personal insult. I think the industry knows why they put rhythm sources in next to all electronic keyboards, but many of the keyboardists don't. ;) Most bandmates I remember being often obstinate and stubborn were keyboard players, followed by guitarists in case there were two or more in one band. I play keys...keys are great, think about Rush and how everyone was so happy with the keys....oh wait. NVM Anyone who doesn't want to get down with the program can walk.
