newlife15
Good day all, I recently had an accident with the joe pass and one of the tuners broke off... I will get Grover 14:1 ratio tuners...sweetwater has the tuners with .391" hole size... Will these be straight drop ins? Thanks Roy
RobinTheHood
.391 is 10mm so yes, they should drop right in. But I will say that converting milimeters to a decimal is a weird way to advertise your product size.
Whitmore Willy
newlife15, Never having worked on a Joe Pass I am afraid I can't help with your tuner hole size. Hope others can. However..... .391" tuners require (aprox.) a 10mm hole. As you are planning on replacing the tuners anyway, Why not simply remove the broken one and measure the hole? It is likely either a 10mm or an 8 to 9mm. If it is not the size you need, it is an easy mod: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/76854-beater-guitar-part-2/ Just a thought, Willy edit: Looks like Rob beat me to it. (darn, but he's quick)
