I wouldn't know where to start. I think it is great that you have the courage to take on such a difficult project. And although it might seem that everyone is ganging up on you, they (we) just want to make sure you don't make a big mistake and end up pissing away your hard-earned cash. I would keep looking for a cool restoration job, but don't let it distract your from your ultimate goal, which is to own a kick-*** Gibson LP.
