Jimmy James and the Blue Flames

I wonder the what if's. What if Randy California would have gone with Jimi to London instead of going back to the west coast to start Spirit. Jimmy James and the Blue Flames consisted of Jimi, Randy California, Randy Palmer and Dan Casey. In 1966 you could find them playing for tips in bars and clubs in the New Jersey area and at the Cafe Wha? in the Village. Jimi asked Randy California to go with him to London when Chas Chandler offered Jimi the chance to start a new band in England...What if?

We would have missed out on some of my most favorite music. I love SPIRIT. And I put " The Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus " up there with any of the best albums in history, IMHO.
