Alouf
So which strings do you use and what gauge? I used to use DM Blue Electric 10, and DR Colored in the 10 size as well. I will be trying the DR Pure Blues in the 11 gauge and see how they react. Apparently they are supposed to be pretty good. I mainly play blues. bag302
I use GHS Boomers 9's. They feel good at standard E tuning but a little too slinky 1/2 step down. I may try 10's soon. I mainly play hard rock and like the brightness and extra harmonics of the Boomers. They seem more alive to me than other strings and last a good while. jimmyree
I am currently using Elixer coated strings .10. They sound great, very bold. I am having a little problem with my intonation though and im not sure if its the strings or the guitar. Another member told me he is having problems with his intonation as well and he's not using coated strings. See post http://forums.gibson.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=11360 if you are interested. kursal
I tend to use Roto Yellows but I've yet to change the strings on the Robot yet. I'd be interested in hearing what people suggest.

stevezapp
Just put some Ernie Ball Regular Slinky's on her. Sounds great, and didn't lose any strings in the process.

elantric
I recommend the superior Fender Super Bullets (10-46, 3250R, Regular) - for their superior ultra stable Bullet ends. Unlike normal Ball end strings, the Bullets stay in tune better and are polished" and do not "stick" in the nut like normal round wound strings. While working with Larry Carlton at Valley Arts we tried every brand of strings in exhaustive testing and the Super Bullets were the the clear winners due to every aspect of their design. http://www.zzounds.com/item--DAVF3250R
CharlieP
I use the bullets on my Strat. .009 - .042. 325OL. I thought about trying a set of .010's on the Robot but, I still have a good supply of Brite Wires left.
