milod Posted June 2, 2014 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Woo... Taylors are fine for those who appreciate bolt-on necks on a flattop. They're neither Martins nor Gibsons. They're in a general market position such as Guild has(had) been for ages as an alternative to the longtime legends in the biz. Ask folks on the street about flattops and you're most likely to hear "Martin" or "Gibson" or both. Gallagher doesn't win any sales figure races, but I haven't heard much suggestion that they're of lesser quality because of it, and Epiphone/Fender flattops have a lotta sales in the US and elsewhere, and I haven't heard that makes them "better." m Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
