62burst Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 You know what? Some people just feel more comfortable playing the old stuff. Is comfort on your list of things you look for in a guitar?
E-minor7 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 All respect for violins and fiddles, but they are and continue to be strangely shaped cigar-boxes with a stick to the left and cat-guts you stroke with horse-hair running from one end to the other. In other words, , , I'm not the person to judge those instruments at all. But move in and check different vintage acoustic guitars on the Tube - one have to be rather deaf or insensitive not to hear the extra dimension*. Whether it's better or worse is a matter of personal taste. I for my part prefer a bit of both. . . *Of course it could also be seen as 'something missing' (the young feel'n'sound).
