SonnyBassPlayer Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 So, I got my Thunderbird a pair of years ago. I always liked it, but it's never been my main player for two reasons: neck dive, and the neck itself. I see pictures of Thunderbirds (Epiphone of course) with slimmer and different necks from mine, which has a very large neck, and it's all painted black! Anyone else got one like mine? It just feels weird how many say that it's a comfortable bass neck-wise, and mine has a street light pole instead of a bass neck! Just curiosity ;)
NXP Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Got a Classic IV Pro a few weeks ago. No neck dive whatsoever and I find the neck very comfortable and fast. It even helped improve my slap technique (which wasn't great...). The only thing I occasionally miss from my old B.C.Rich is the 24-fret length, but still access is quite good because the body widens at the 17th rather than 15th like on other TBirds I've seen.
