DC42
Looks very nice indeed...!! I ain't swappin' my ES 330 though... V I hear you...sold my 335 as it was too much for the old back. So far so good... There is room for a 330 in every collection :D
Drog
Fantastic! I have been eyeing one of these myself. How does she sound unplugged? Congrats on the NG.
DC42
Fantastic! I have been eyeing one of these myself. How does she sound unplugged? Congrats on the NG. Nice...a great experience as sound and playability are top notch. It is not a real "loud" guitar (unplugged) as it has a small body. Look at it next to a restored 1950 0 size parlor guitar. If you have your eye on one of these pull the trigger. You will love it. DMC
Bernie69
Congrats !!!! but how does it sound compared to the standard one with mini humbuckers ???? more Jazzy ? more agressive ???
DC42
Congrats !!!! but how does it sound compared to the standard one with mini humbuckers ???? more Jazzy ? more agressive ??? Hey Bernie... I had mini humbuckers in an Epi Sorrento ('62 re-release). Those were real hot. Figured this would follow suit with the 390. Read comments in forums which was consistent with that thought. The 390 is more bluesy and creamy so I would say Jazzy would work too. DMC
fretplay
Howdy... This guitar is the real deal. P-90's are in effect. Plays really nice. Set up out of the box pretty good. Whats the difference between a 390 and a 339?
DC42
Whats the difference between a 390 and a 339? The 390 is the smaller version of a 330. The 339 is a smaller version of the 335. 390 & 330 = hollow 339 & 335 = semi hollow. Try all four if you can find them in a shop. They are all fun to play. I held off on the 390 as the original release has the mini humbuckers. Had that type of pick up in the Epiphone Sorrento re-release and thought they were kind of "hot" so to answer the question cannot speak on that. Would not mind trying one out though...
