L8_4thesh0w Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 It was a pretty nice looking guitar in what I think is "Vintage Burst" with open coil humbuckers. I wish I had taken a photo. Serial # U00110873. $400
Jeffery Smith Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Artist Series They have them at Sweetwater
L8_4thesh0w Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 I checked that one out at Sweetwater and it only comes in ebony. The headstock on the Heafy has the 5-piece diamond shaped inlay and truss rod cover has "MKH Les Paul Custom" and it has black tuners. It has no pick guard. The one at the pawn shop has "Les Paul" script headstock. The truss rod cover says "Gibson" and it has chrome tuners. It has the crème colored pick guard. If I understand the serial number correctly it was made at Unsung(Korea) in November of 2000 and was the 873rd unit produced. I'll try to get back out there and get a pic. I didn't try to take it before because the lighting in that place is terrible. I still want to find out if the asking price is reasonable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jeffery Smith Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Got it. The Epiphone Guitar Book lists a Les Paul Custom 7-string made from 2000-2002. No mention of finishes.
L8_4thesh0w Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Got it. The Epiphone Guitar Book lists a Les Paul Custom 7-string made from 2000-2002. No mention of finishes. Many thanks for that info Jeffery, with which I was able to find it on Wiki listed as a Les Paul Classic 7-string. Wiki lists these finishes: Heritage Cherry Burst; Vintage Burst; & Trans Black. Does the Epi book give total production numbers and list prices?
