Humidify Electric guitars

Is it necessary to humidify my Riviera in the winter months like I have to do with my acoustics. Here in Minnesota the humidity level goes way down in the winter. Or is it bad on the electronics inside??

if the humidity is too low for an extended period, it can cause fretboard shrinkage, lifting frets etc.
