slk
Does anyone see any danger in having 13's Flatwound on my Riviera P93. I have them on it now and the sound is great. Reason for asking is I have 2 more brand new sets of those strings. When the ones get dull that are on it I would like to use those, but not if they too much string for the guitar. After getting those strings I got to wondering if I had made a mistake. Got to thinking 11's might be easier on the neck. I just don't want to ruin my new guitar. I think on my DOT Deluxe is 10-11 which sound great also. Not flatwound though..... Steve
ksdaddy
Don't worry. The WORST you'd have to do is tweak the truss rod a LITTLE if there was a radical change to the 13s, if you had been using 10s for example. You won't hurt a thing. Play on. kidblast
yea,, as said,, should not do any harm, other than a truss rod tweak. Flatwound strings last a real long time.. you should be good for quite some time with 2 spare sets.
