Two fine fliers

This guy has a groovy time small-talking a bit about his two squares.

It's all good and his guitars sound splendid, but he forgets the scale-lenght thing, , ,

Hummingbird = 24.75

Dove = 25.50

VERY important. . .

Apart from that - notice the actual voice of these Gibsons.

You know everybody always say that Doves are brighter than Birds.

Listen here - isn't the D mellower and more rounded. Plus a bit looser.

That's how I hear it - and also what I experience in real life. Wonder about your ears out there folks. .

Yes, the sound of that Dove does belie it's specifications. Perhaps a peek under the hood would be in order check for anything amiss. The Hummingbird, however, came out smelling like a rose. And the video does give an appreciation for demos where the player gets right down to the business of playing the guitar(s) in short order; the "walk-thru" tour of the guitars was nice, but specs can be found easily enough elsewhere. Though on the whole, they're both considered great strummers; maybe seeing how these birds do on other styles of playing might provide some more of a sense of these guitars.

Agreed that the scale length difference should've been mentioned in a general overview such as this, as well as model year, and some sort of info on whether or not strings were similar, or recently installed.
