Hollowbody Guitar Case

I bought a used Casino today at GC and it came withNice Case

For $400 out the door I got this used case with it that GC sells for a hundred bucks. It had two scratched on the bottom but so what? It's a super nice case both light, good looking and strong yet not too heavy. I'm thrilled about this Epi case. Typically a decent case adds $125 to the cost of the guitar but i got this for free with the deal. I feel like I lucked out.

I have some super durable cases for my Taylors that are top of the line. You could shoot the case with a 44 magnum and the guitar wouldn't be damaged but I hate carrying them due to their weight. They're overkill.preview.jpg

FWIW, I usually buy whatever case the particular guitar comes with. If it doesn't come with a HSC, I get some advice from my SW rep as to what's the best one. In all honesty though, my stuff only leaves the house once in a blue moon to go to the luthier. I'm not gigging or traveling. I do believe however, that each guitar should have its' own HSC, whether electric or acoustic. You should see my closet [biggrin][flapper][scared]

[thumbup] Same here Dennis. A black magic marker does wonders to cover scratches if it ever bothers you.

I just took all my cases and cleaned them all with Old English. It took away the scratches too. Some of these cases had never been cleaned. You should rag them down every ten years or so. Some of these cases looked like they'd been stored at The Munsters house in the dungeon.

Good deal Zentar. HSCs are always good if you care about your guitar's safety. [thumbup]

I had been looking two weeks for a Casino but they don't come with cases so

even at sale price $509 they cost $650 w/case and tax.

I finally got a mint used 2014 w/case for $400 including tax and shipping. There are deals on nice used stuff online.

I kept backing off guitars because of no hard shell case. That was always the deal breaker

Several years ago I bought a Strat used online that was shipped with no case. I had to reset the neck. I was shocked they just stuck it in a cardboard box with peanut packing.

Good point. We're pretty good about taking care of our guitars, but I've noticed the same thing..."Holy Moly, look at all the dust on that case"! Once again, a 2" paint brush works wonders LOL
