Don.
When I was younger, my brother and I would spend many a saturday afternoon visiting guitar shops in detroit. (I grew up in windsor) We'd just go over, find a phone booth and look in the yellow pages. That was 15 years ago, so can't give you specific references. Thanks for bringing back good memories! MikeRom
Huber and Breese on the east side has a very nice selection of guitars and if you really really stretch the bounds of 'Detroit' there's always Elderly Instruments in Lansing. http://www.elderly.com/ H&B is on Groesbeck Hwy just north of 13 mile - rough directions, take 75 n to 696 e to GB Hwy n http://huberbreese.com/commerce/

MikeRom
Berkley Music is a really small place. Not too much in the way of higher end (Gibson, Fender, etc.) guitars but a pretty good amp selection. Worth a visit I suppose, take 696 w to the woodward n exit and take that to 12 mile w. It's a few miles down and it will be on the left side. If you don't see it you won't be missing anything. H&B is much more worth the trip. Not familiar with any guitar stroes in Auburn Hills, sorry.
