Fullmental Alpinist
I stopped in to my local So Cal Guitar Center today and they were having a sale on Gibsons. A new J-45 standard was $1799. There were a couple of other Gibbies marked down a lot too. The sale is going on through 11/11 I believe. (The fine print on the price ticket was too small for me without glasses.) Of course they had really terrible strings on them. Check out your local GC to see if they're having a sale. FMA No affiliation with GC.

Jesse_Dylan
I think the normal price on a J-45 from E.M. Shorts guitars is about $1799. Whatever a 40% discount is off the retail (not MAP) is what they charge, or even a bit less.
Fullmental Alpinist
Web site shows five (5) Gibson models on sale as part of their "Guitar-A-Thon" thru Nov 11th. http://www.guitarcen...urrencyCode=USD That appears to be it: 20 percent off the discount price of $2200 equals about $1799. I wonder if they'll remember the case is supposed to be included free....
