Well, took one for the team and got the keys, scraper and screwdriver on to the Blues King.. [biggrin]

(Seriously, that's just about the most beautiful firestripe I've ever seen. I would have bought the guitar just for that.)

Looks like I need to get the razor on to the fretboard, frets, bridge........to make it more 'authentic'.

 

 

Or we could give it all a lick of paint like Zombi's J50....

Thee is one heck of a difference between buying an old guitar on the cheap because of condition issues and spending X amount of extra bucks to buy one that looks old.

 

I went the opposite direction on my 1942 J-50
