Leone
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm hoping someone can answer my question... I just received my brand new Sheraton II-PRO (wine red), and I absolute love it. The craftsmanship is just amazing! The pickups produce such beautifu tones all around. I do have a question about the pickups and switch. Neck pickup switch position: If I turn up only the neck pickup volume with the switch in the up position, it works normally. Bridge pickup switch position: If I turn up only the bridge pickup volume with the switch in the down position, it works normally. Middle pickup (both) switch position: If I only turn up the neck pickup in this position, it works fine. However, if I only turn up the bridge pickup (neck pickup turned all the way down), I get no sound.. UNLESS, I roll up the neck pickup volume just a little bit, then I get sound from the bridge pickup. Is this normal behavior for such pickup configuration? This is my first semi-hollow body and I was wondering if anything was wrong with my setup. Thanks in advance!
Gearhead88
it's normal
kidblast
yep, it's fine.. This is how it works in almost all "Gibson" wiring schemes with a neck and bridge humbucker with each pup having a vol and tones pot.
Steve112
Yep, that's how they work with normal wiring. Makes blending the pups very easy and great versatility tone-wise!
Leone
Thank you all, I really appreciate your thoughts and responses. I must say, this Sheraton PRO-II is one fine looking guitar with amazing playability and sound. The pickups are very good and there's so many sound possibilities. I can't recommend this guitar enough.... For anyone looking for a semi-hollow body. Cheers!

Pesh
Good to have you here, Leone; welcome to the forums. Glad that you have given such a sterling review of the Sherri; it's on my list of considerations! And as others have mentioned; such volume behaviour is standard across pretty much every Gibson or Epiphone with a 2-volume + 2-tone control set-up. There are modifications in the wiring layout that can remove this feature, should you wish, but otherwise it's a quirk one must live with
Leone
Thanks Pesh! Very much appreciated :) I actually was looking for a Gretsch hollowbody. I've been eyeing one for the longest time (the Electromatic series) until a friend in a band overseas mentioned that i should look into the Casinos or Dots by Epiphone. By doing research, i found out about the Sheraton II-PRO, which has been getting rave reviews. That is when i decided to go check one out and play one. No store near me (and i live in the heart of Los Angeles), believe it or not has them in stock. The closest thing was a Sheraton, an older model. I really liked the feel, tone and finish of the guitar. And since i've been hearing nothing but great things about the pickups, i decided to take a gamble and order one through Sweetwater. I must say, the guitar not only arrived in one piece, but it was flawless. Not one ding, blemish, scratch....nothing. And that's after they unboxed it after it arrived from Epiphone, they performed a minor setup and checked intonation, tuning, hardware, pickups, etc, then reboxed it and shipped it to me in very secure boxing w/padding, etc. I was pleasantly surprised purchasing through them and i will again in a heartbeat. I got everything that i was supposed to get... a manual, poster, sticker, nuBone info, grover tuners into, etc. Everything was included. I hope you're able to get this guitar soon. It's a real joy to play!
kidblast
I've bought my last 4 guitars from Sweetwater in the past 4 or 5 years. (and where I also bought my Sheraton in November 2015) IHO, they are pretty much the best online place these days. they do a great job of packing, compared to a place like Musicians Friend where it's a miracle a guitar they ship arrives in one piece, they do a horrendous pack job and they always use UPS which is almost always a crap shot. Sweetwater only uses FED-Ex Ground Express, which is much faster, and lastly Sweetwaters customer service is second to none. So, yea.. you picked the right place to purchase your sherry from.
