krllyfan161
So I'm trying to figure out what guitar this is?? I think it's a Gibson but I might be wrong. 12th fret has kind of an diamond inlay but it's not fully filled in..it's kind of just an outer diamond and the middle of the diamond is showing the fretboard instead of being filled in..I thought maybe a Les Paul double cutaway but none of them have the diamond like inlay on 12th fret. Also it looks like it has 2 tailpieces (or a tailpiece and a bridge I guess). Any help would be appreciated - pic is below
sparquelito
The mystery guitar certainly has many Gibson-like features. Dual humbucker, with a Les Paul style tailpiece and bridge... The body shape and the 12th fret inlay do not resemble any Gibson products that I have come across however. It's an asymmetrical double-cutaway, with a slightly larger upper bout (than the lower). Can you name the band or player? That might help to solve the mystery. :)
L5Larry
The headstock looks to say "Silvertone", which was Sears' brand name for guitars. Looks to be one of the models built for them by Danelectro, although heavily modified.
sparquelito
On further inspection, there's a chance it's a model 222 by First Act.
