flowWT
Hi guys, I bought my epiphone recently. The man said that this one is Epiphone les paul "custom" made in Japan. I know that epiphone made in Japan is much better than those made in China or India. I want to ask that is my guitar really made in Japan? And when was it made?Is it a lp std or custom. The serial number is "F500682" And here is the picture of it thanks for your help

deeman
Looks nice... did they have the original pick ups with the gold covers? I like the black on gold custom look.
flowWT
Looks nice... did they have the original pick ups with the gold covers? I like the black on gold custom look. The former owner has changed the pickups. And he doesn't give me the original pickups.

JerseyRay
I think that is a 1982 les Paul, the jap's were making very good guitars at that time (still do)... it's a keeper...

As for the pickups, that was sort of standard to do to a jap guitar, the guitars were great, but the pickups were nothing to write home about so a lot of times they were upgraded to a Seymour Duncan...i have a 82 Westone, great guitar, same thing... they put a hot Seymour Duncan in it at the bridge....
