Any good "Gear for Sale" stories?

I love when this happens.

Whenever I list stuff for sale locally, I always get offers to trade stuff like my 1962 Ampeg Mercury for a Line 6 practice amp, or my faded Les Paul Standard for some pointy shredder axe from china. Well, I put my Slash Goldtop up for sale locally on a few of the used classified sites. At the bottom, I put "Would only consider trades for another Gibson of similar value".

So far I've been offered a Taylor T5, a PRS Hollowbody I (plus $500), and an ES-339 with a Bigsby added. The first two are not unreasonable (although not Gibsons) and at least I got one Gibson offer. But here's the kicker...

I figure there has to be a lot of similar stories out there.

Hey my central air is a Gibson, maybe the go cart is a Gibson brand.

In browsing for Les Pauls on eBay I saw this one. Broken neck repaired which is fine, it happens but I would not go as far as "you could not ask for a better break"
