Jinder Posted August 18, 2017 Share Posted August 18, 2017 FB is right, Baggs Element Actives have been the stock pickup in J45 Standards/Modern Classics since 2006 or so. Good pickup...nothing earth shattering but a decent UST and a good platform for enhancements. If you like the Element tone, a good upgrade with more headroom is the DTAR Wavelength, essentially the same pickup but with a refined 18v preamp which gives more headroom and sounds sweeter. Another way of wrangling more performance from the Element is running it through an enhancer such as the TC Electronic Bodyrez, the XVive Mike pedal or one of the Fishman Aura range.
