chewmann 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2018 Is there a serial number decoder for 2017 models. I have two 2017 models and they have a similar serial number - 170059### (Explorer) and 170042### (Les Paul) What number(s) identifies the model? Anything else identified (like factory, color, etc)? Hi Chewmann; Serial number will only tell you manufacture year, day, and ranking for the day, it will not tell you model or any other specifics of your guitars. Other details are noted in the model number, for example: LPSP14TSCH LesPaulStandardPlus2014TobaccoSunburstChromeHardware Generally I belive factory breakdown is like this; Solid bodies - Nashville ES - Memphis Acoustic - Bozeman Hope that helps Johnny
