Kenny202
Hello just picked up a nice Joe Passe Emporer. It is a Korean made serial number S5084903. Can anyone tell me a bit more about it? Year made? Factory? Are the Korean ones considered good? It's natural finish gold hardware just about 100% condition. I am a bit confused as to models. This one simply has Joe Passe on the truss rod cover. Are all the Joe Passe models Joe Pass 11, or was there an original and a second version? Any help you can give me much appreciated Edited October 15, 2019 by Kenny202
kidblast
if you plug that serial # into the "Guitar dater" web site.. Your guitar was made at the Samick Plant, Korea on August, 1985,1995 or 2005 Production Number: 4903 not all that helpful info wrt the year, no idea why that would be. I had a Joe Pass back in the mid 90s, it was a fun guitar to play and sounded real good. not sure of the other designation.. II vs. no "II"
RobinTheHood
It was made in 1995. Probably a Joe Pass II since the Joe Pass 1 was discontinued in 1994.
Kenny202
How do you know if a 1 or 2? Is it on the label inside the body? (I haven't received it yet)
