Madguitarist78
My local music store just got in a EVH 5150 Amp..... Until then I had never played one, But today I plugged a 58 into it and I was very impressed!!! It had a great classic rock sound (Vox/Marshall).... Does anyone else on the forum have one?? If so what are your thoughts......

crossroadsnyc
Yes' date=' Eddie needs more money. lol[/quote'] Haha, fair enough. Still, I really like the looks of that new one...I mean I REALLY like it. Both the vintage white & black are ridiculously hot guitars.
rockstar232007
Personally? I'm a Marshall guy, but I have used 5150s (new, and old), and I like that even at a really low volume, like between 1-2, they still keep the same tone, as if it were cranked all the way up. As a matter of fact, I believe when EVH designed the original, he had Peavey incorporate an extra volume control, similar to the Variac, but wayyy safer! Gianni_boy
Its a great sounding amp, but it just pisses me off that they are MADE IN MEXICO!!!!!!I dont know why they decided to build the amp there!!..........I can justify spending that much money on a amp made in mexico.......
