pawlowski6132
So, i own a '59 330. I love everything about it except - as shallow as I know this sounds - the body shape (i.e., the "335" look). I prefer either non cutaway or single cutaway of a similar vintage like a 125, 150 or 225. I think, if similarly equipped, in this case single P90 centrally placed, they should sound VERY similar. Such that without A/B comparison, indistinguishable. Of course, all else being equal (strings, condition, bridge, etc.) Am I wrong? I'm considering a switch. slimt
Es 330 is a better guitar . es225s are okay. I would just buy a 125, 150, or 225. And keep the 330. Otherwize to your question. I think you would be making a mistake .

I guess that makes sense when you compare what 330 fetches these days compared to the others.

I always thought these were dumb but, now know how to play them; pick near the neck for more mellow, softer tones and towards the bridge for brighter. I've always understood that principle but, never thought about in terms of using single pickup guitar. Who needs two pickups? 😃

pawlowski6132
I'll keep it, too hard to replace. Will have to suplement with another one.
slimt
is there a rubber gasket around that Humid tube end?
pawlowski6132
This is what it looks like. Does that help? This probably "belt and suspenders" since I keep my office at, average, 48% RH.
pawlowski6132
That's the end that was in the guitar. You can see the other end in the picture of the guitar.
Nature Curry
normally used to hydrate a guitar. OR soak it & get it heavy. It's good for whipping the kids.
jdgm
I love a single cutaway semi. Mine are all 2 pickups. But that is a beautiful 330! Edited February 28, 2021 by jdgm
