RudyH
I tried Gibson Nickel 10's on my Strat with the idea of warming the tone a bit for jazzy sounds. It did work. It retained the fast attack that Strats are known for, but the tone changed slightly and in a pleasant way. The guitar sounds better acoustically now too. I like them better than the steel D'Addarios I have been playing, and better than the steel Fenders I played before that.
Mark
I just did the same with my 335, sounds great I was using DR pure blue 10's and I thought it was time for a change. The only knock on the Gibson strings is that they will loose tone quick. Its just somthing I've heard, I have had them on for about 3 weeks and they still sound great but have a definate different feeling.
Homz
I use Ernie Ball super Slinky 10's. What do you think would be best for classic crunchy British rock?
Mark
I am not sure about classic crunch but Mr. 335 uses Ernie 10's so they must be pretty good.
