stew556
I bought this guitar a couple of weeks ago and am having a problem with keeping it in tune, also the D,G,B strings go sharp when pressed at the first and subsequent frets. Anyone else had this problem ?. what needs to be done to fix this.
Tim Plains
How hard are you pressing on the frets? Most tuning issues are due to the nut. Lift the strings out from the groves and place some pencil shavings or powdered graphite in each groove.
stew556
When only touching these strings, they are perfectly in tune, light pressure sends then sharp. thanks for taking the time to suggest a fix.I used to live and work in Toronto in the Emergency Room at Mt Sinai. Great Place to stay !.

The Mick
I have a heavy hand so newer guitars with big fat frets I can press sharp ease up by the nut.
