CROWB8
Hello from Ken#ucky. West coast transplant. Playin guit since '67. First guit was a '67 Lyle F540 which I still have. First electric was a '68 3 pup POS Guyatone. Then a tele delux. Sometime in '69 I bought a used SG STD for $225 and never looked back. Gibby fan for life. Self taught using a record player running 33rpm LPs at 16 rpms. Half speed. Got book of chords, then some one showed me bar chords. Then I found there were boxes of lead notes two frets below the bar chord notes. Then it was off to the races. Gigged around Fla gulf coast in the 70s. Since then just a workin stiff but always had a guit. Oh the guits I've had and sold. Now I have my Lyle, '17 epi fadded SG STD, '21 Gibson SG STD '61, and my latest purchase is a '22 LPC BB 70th anniversary. Lookin to add a V to my stable. Had some Qs which brought me here. Guess I'll post the guits for ya. See iffin I do this. right. Ty for letting me in folks. Edited July 6, 2022 by CROWB8

Sgt. Pepper
This one didn't suck. I bought the neck and body stripped and built the rest of it myself. The BB was a 2009, the LP body/neck was a 2014. As Nigel Tufnel said "look at the flame on that one". The pups on the LP were Lindy Fralin's, if I remember correctly. I put a lot of Rio Grande pups in guitars, but I am pretty sure those were Lindy's. Edited July 14, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper

CROWB8
I had to return this one due to neck binding issues. You can see a drill bit lays in a groove that goes from nut to body.

CROWB8
Can't tell if it's straight up ebony or if there's a deep red/purple transparent. Either way, me likes that. Simple, yet elegant. No binding, purposeful w grace.

Sgt. Pepper
Here is one I bought from a guy who said it was a guitar he bought from a guy who toured with Glenn Danzig. It included a guitar pick form the guy. It was defiantly a played guitar, not abused but played. Edited July 16, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper

Sgt. Pepper
I had this too. I traded it for a USA Deluxe Strat and a Martin D-15. It was when Gibson was blackening in the sound holes. The shop I sold it to told me the guy who bought it, said the guitar fell out of its stand and suffered the dreaded smile headstock break. Now a $3500 guitar is not worth $3500. CROWB8
This one (previously posted), broke cleanly above the nut. Three times. First, my mother leaned it against the wall. Fell over and snapped. Fixed myself. Then on two other occasions, I leaned it on a chair, stoned, I sat in chair right on head stock and snapped it along the same break. I finally had it repaired professionally, quit smoking wacky. Haven't broke again. Edited July 17, 2022 by CROWB8

I don't miss amps at all. Who wants to lug around a heavy box to play. I take a guitar out of a case, tune it, and off I go. No volume, or effects to ponder over. No wife yelling your playing to loud - I can't hear the TV.
CROWB8
Kinda there w ya. But I miss old school gear. But, I as well do more playing via bluetooth and head phones these days. My Fender GTX50 and micro amps are both bluetooth capable. https://www.fender.com/en-US/guitar-amplifiers/contemporary-digital/mustang-gtx50/2310600000.html https://www.fender.com/en-US/guitar-amplifiers/headphone-amplifiers/mustang-micro/2311300000.html

I could not turn it up past 3 it was so loud. I hate wearing headphone. I have a nice Sennheiser pair, but only use them when I have to. Here is an SG Faded I built. Bought the neck/body and bought all the parts and pieces for it. As you can tell its not done yet. The 1x12 Fender Blues Deluxe is in the background with a 1x12 extension cab. They both have Weber speakers in them. If I wasn't stupid enough to think a 40 watt amp was loud, like I mentioned, I would step up to 60 watts. Edited July 18, 2022 by Sgt. CROWB8
That's gonna grow up to be a fine guitar. But wait. Ah oh. A B100? That's 100 watts and 15 inches of paper sir. You, ah, you ever pumped yer 335 through that? I remember, back in the day, playing a Ricky throught a Fender Bassman and the feedback was almost uncontrollable once invoked. Always *thought* the bigger pressure waves from a bass amp and speakers had an easier influence on semi hollow guit wood. Thereby helping the guit fall easier into higher frequency feedback. If that makes sense. As technically, I've really no clue. Just always thought something like that was in play.

It has a Warmoth neck and Rio Grande Muy Grande pups. I still have the bass and B100. The body is a '95 Fender Am. Std. J Bass. The neck got a nasty warp in it and I needed a f new neck. My brother bought a sig "Flea" bass. Fitted a custom made MIM fretless neck to it. You mentioned Martin. I could go for another drool session.
