fsjeter Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 I have a Custom shop limited edition SG G-400 in heritage Cherry from 2010 (at least according to the serial number if I'm interpreting it right). It looks like it is number 2686 but I was curious, if it's a LE, how many were made but I can't find any production run info. Quote
pohatu771 Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 "Limited edition" rarely has a published (or probably even planned) edition size. There are some exceptions, like the 2009 1959 Les Paul, 2010 1960 Les Paul, and the 1999 John Lennon Casinos, but most of them are just however many the store, since they are usually exclusives, is willing to order. I figured it might be something like that, but I wasn't sure. Thank you! Quote
mihcmac Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 (edited) Epiphone Custom Shop Limited Edition usually indicated that these models would have a configuration that was different from standard production. My 2011 Limited Edition Custom Shop 50th Anniversary 61 SG Specials were produced for just one year, with similar hardware that was used on the original 1961 SG Special. Like the 3 in a row tuners, P90 Classics, wrap around bridge (not usually found on a set-neck G400), full sized CST pots with markers. My slightly modified SG Special next to a modified Cherry G400.
