zombywoof
While I am generally not all that concerned with bridge pins, Antique Acoustics offers hard plastic black bridge pins which have become the restoration standard for Gibsons. They are offered in both slotted and unslotted versions and just look flipping great on any Gibson. Elderly carries them. I bought a set for my 1932 L1. Johnny V.
Regarding '55 as a transition year-I've got a '55 LG-3 with a small pickguard and a 19 fret neck. Both features of the earlier versions.
