mndew
Picked up a 2019 sustainable hummingbird. The wax finish around the sides appears worn, Id guess from rubbing on the case as it’s prominent all the way round but just along the bottom . I’ve read that these guitars are finished with a linseed oil treatment then pure beeswax. I’m wondering how best to go about touching up the wax. Is a linseed-beeswax polish suitable or should i be just applying straight pure beeswax, presumably heated up and buffed off. How would it have been done in factory? Buc McMaster
Been out of the acoustic loop for a few years and had not heard of this finish. I did a quick search and found this on the AGF............should be helpful......... https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6580330 Good luck and welcome to the GAF!
