1961 Gibson ES-355 Stereo Varitone

Recommended Posts

The ES-355 was and remains the top of the line thinline semi-hollowbody Gibson model, and early 60s models are considered vintage and desirable, so depending on condition, it may have significant value. Ideally, you'll need to get it appraised by a reputable appraiser or three to get an idea of its true value. A model number and year are not enough for any of us to give you even a price range for your guitar, since authenticity, any modifications, color, pickups (it may have original patent applied for pickups, which are very desirable, or they may have been swapped out for something else at some point - we can't tell without inspecting them) and overall condition will all factor into what it is worth today.
