I've never seen one and have owned several ES335s. So I think that the guard and rings were added when the DiMarzios were installed. This is my current 335, a 2018 Memphis built figured natural. littlejohnny Posted June 15 Share Posted June 15 I think it is legit, even the pickups and the pickguard are original. When you google the model, you'll find some info and pictures. Strange enough, all seem to have dot inlays. On the other hand, at around this time most of all Gibson Standard Es models had block instead of dot inlays.
