TommyK
Just got back from Bluegrass jammin'. While this venue is well audioed, I was having trouble hearing my own guitar. I'm not of a mind to 'port' my main player.. yet. Is there belt mounted 'system', that would use a suction cup or other pick-up and an ear piece that would allow me to hear myself. I was right up against the mic and Wasn't sure the chords I was playing was right.
Gilliangirl
Tommy, I don't have a clue about electrics but at least my lame response will bump this back up to the top so's the electrical types see it. Do you guys not have monitors?

TommyK
What I'm looking for is a belt mounted amp that uses a pick-up, preferably a suction cup and an ear piece. nothing fancy, just an on/off switch and a volume control so I can hear what my guitar is saying. Sort of a walk man with a microphone / pick-up input that I can listen to in real time and not necessarily record anything. Does anyone make anything like that? I've seen back-up musicians with ear pieces which I assume are monitors, but probably patched into a full sized monitor.
