Yes it is the 2009 model, I chose this on purpose because I wanted the 2008 Special Edition but couldn't afford it at the time. So when I found out the 2009 TV was the same spec I had to get one. I ordered it from http://www.bonnersmusic.co.uk/, who are in the UK so shipping to me is free. The guitar is £1799, which is only £100 more than the standard model on that site. Well , I ended up going downtown Toronto to see a SJ Woody L&M had in stock,Played it and "It spoke to me" I put it down tried all the Slope shoulder Gibson they had ( 3 different J-45s inclusing a 12 fret model and a standard SJ) I walked out of the store VERY HAPPY with The Woody. The price for the 2009 J-45 TV VOS at my local retail shop is around £2,400 ! Bonnersmusic is definitely cheaper, but they only deliver to the UK. What surprises me the most over there is that the standard 2009 is only £100 less than the TV. I checked a few trusted US online shops, they're cheap as well, but adding shipment + taxes I end up with pretty much the same price as here. Do you know of any other trusted online Gibson UK retailers ? Anyway, as son as you receive yours please let everyone know (pictures would be greatly appreciated). ChrisA83 Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 Yeah I looked at getting it from the USA but there's all the import tax and VAT you have to add on in the UK which is all a bit complicated, and I wasn't sure that the saving would be that great. Then if there's anything wrong with it... I was looking round at other UK shops but Bonners is the only one I've found that states it is a 2009 TV (with the adi top etc.). I have used http://www.guitar.co.uk/ and http://www.giggear.co.uk/ successfully before - but neither advertise a J-45, but they could of course order one.
