Fred[/quote'] Fred, I'm also amazed by the differences between like guitars, not just Gibson, but Martin, etc. Workmanship can be exact, but wood is a fickle material....humidity, glue, place in the log, age, all these subjective factors that influence the final sound...... pohatu771
I played one briefly, unplugged, and didn't really see any difference than any of the J-45s I've played. Not to say it wasn't nice... I just didn't see much difference.
larryp58
I haven't played one, either, but the only difference from the Kristofferson SJ and my TV SJ is the logo on the 12th fret and electonics. Unplugged, I would think that it is as sweet as my SJ. Very dark and mellow. Wonderful tone. But no two guitars are the same! If nothing else, it sure is a beauty to look at, huh?!!!
