NeoConMan
Not much. My dealer has one from 50's for only a couple grand. 80's? I would think that it's value would be based on condition alone. Pristine? Still well under $1k.

NeoConMan
I was surprised how little they fetch in the market myself. Maybe they should get more but they simply do not. Your buddy could probably use a roll of antacids after you break the news to him...

retrosurfer1959
Yeah kinda what I thought when I bought the 85 great little guitar a set-up and some fun then I'll make a few bucks. after shipping and couple weeks of call I made 11 bucks. There a great little guitar but no collectibility so value totally sucks when your selling one. If you pay 400 because you want to play the guitar then cool but you won't sell it for any more than that.
